Product Questions & Answers

Q:I see both 604-102 and 604-124 fit my 1990 GMC Sierra C1500.  I have an AC/heater control module with gray buttons.  There is another control module in some models with black buttons that is wired differently.  Does a particular one of these two actuators work with the gray button module?  If so which one?  What is the difference in the two actuators I listed above? Show Less

A:BEST ANSWERHi Foster, I'm glad to help you out. The 604-102 part number is for models with manual temperature control. While the 604-124 part number is for models with automatic temperature control. If you have automatic temperature control, then order the 604-124 part number. Click this link to order the part while it's on sale: https://www.carparts.com/hvac-heater-blend-door-actuator/dorman/rb604124?can=CPAP3648_20220221 I hope this helps. Happy shopping. Show less

Bad Blend Door Actuator: Symptoms, Location, & Replacement FAQ
Bad Blend Door Actuator: Symptoms, Location, & Replacement FAQA typical air management system has three primary types of doors: an inlet door, a mode door, and one or more blend doors. The inlet door determines whether fresh air or recirculated air travels through the system. Meanwhile, the mode door controls the air discharge location (i.e., panel or floor).
