P0110 Code: Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1)The IAT sensor is a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor that decreases in resistance as the temperature of the sensor increases. Its purpose is to measure the temperature of the air entering the engine and provide this data to the PCM.
P0097 Code: Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) Sensor 2 Circuit Low (Bank 1)To be specific, this code may be logged once the PCM detects that the air temperature reading in sensor #2 is unusually high (causing low voltage resistance) when the engine temperature is low.
