Question: Does this make rear higher that the entire kit for rough country 6” lift on 2003 Tahoe? I’m trying to tack out some of the sag in the rearRichard D. / Mar 09, 2025
Hi Richard, I'm glad to assist you. Yes, but if you have an existing 5-inch suspension lift kit. It is designed for an existing 5-inch lift suspension. To prevent rear sag, the usual component to add is an Airbag (also called an Air Spring). The part number matching the 2003 Chevy Tahoe is F364108. Question: Good Morning.  I was looking at your skyjacker rear coils for my 03 Avalanche 1500 4wd. When it says 4wd with 5 inch lift.  Does that mean the coil springs lift the back end 5 in. above stock height when installed? The backof my Avalanche, when empty is only 7/8" above the front now, so I'd say the springs are very worn.  I would like to install a 3 inch leveling kit in the front and 5 inches in the rear would be perfect. Well actually I'd  really like the increase in height and increase the payload by 1000 lbs.  If the rear is five inches higher I am thinking it will drop a bit when I put an over-lander style rack on the bed and gas can/spare tire mount on rear bumper . The ride smoothness is not important.  Any thoughts?  Thank you. Don Oberloh -Donald O. / Jan 24, 2021
Hi Don, Yes, this is appropriate for lifting your rear 5 inches from a stock height. Some people augment also the rear with helper springs(or an air spring/air bag suspension, this is another option)) to carry additional heavy load without the worry of sagging the rear portion of your truck.
