Nissan Frontier Tail Light
Trouble-free Ways to Know What is Wrong with Nissan Frontier Tail Light
The Nissan Frontier tail light keeps your vehicle visible from the rear especially while driving at night. It is an important safety feature of every vehicle and should not be taken for granted. And depending on the city you live in, you might get pulled over if you have broken or faulty tail lights. Don't let it get to that point-do some troubleshooting to find out what is wrong with your tail light and get it fixed. Here are some trouble-free ways to know what is wrong:
If you see that your vehicle's tail lights are not working, check the fuse right away since this is the easiest and most trouble-free way to know what is wrong with them. Pop up the hood and look for the fuse box next to the battery. Locate the right fuse and use a fuse puller to take it out. If you see any sign of burns in the interior, the fuse is blown and will need to be replaced. Make sure you replace it with a fuse of the same amperage. Otherwise, the wires will melt, and you will end up spending a fortune to get everything fixed.
Your Nissan Frontier is equipped with a pair of tail light assemblies. When one or the other or both don't light up when you turn them on, check the bulbs to see if they are blown. Open the tailgate and remove the tail light assembly. Then take out the tail light bulb by turning the socket counterclockwise. Find out whether the filament is broken or if the bulb has turned brown. If either of this is the case, you will need to replace the bulb. But don't worry because you can get a bulb for as low as 10 USD in most auto parts stores.
If you confirm that the bulbs are not blown or damaged, check the wiring next. If you spot any damage or frays or if there is a short in any of the wires in the tail light housing, have it serviced by a professional mechanic. This is to make sure no other electrical problem arises.
