Hi there,
The possible cause of that trouble code (C342D) is a defective throttle position sensor or the idle air control valve (IAC). Please check the wiring to the TPS sensor and the IAC valve if the wiring is intact or the socket connectors for any loose terminal prong connectors. If the wiring and connectors are good, unplug the sensor and observe if the engine runs normally or not. If the engine runs well, then the TPS sensor is the problem. But, if the engine still runs badly, the problem is the IAC valve. Still, it is best to refer to a certified mechanic for proper and extensive troubleshooting and diagnostics.
