Hi there,
No, it is not advisable to put a rubber mat, even a thin one (and lay a CD player), between the charger and your phone. The charging signal could be disrupted and could slow down the process of charging fast or effectively. The rubber mat could also trap heat around the charger, which could cause the charger to overheat and malfunction. Look for a suitable alternative location, by the way.
