I got Ford F350 2003 engine 6. The truck stops starting about a month ago without the starting it only starts with start fluids and then works with no problem. It's not the gear shift or anything in that area. I opened all of that it all was perfect . I receptacle the gear cable . Before the truck was stopped going to all the gears, it was going to D R and N and not starting. Now its going to all of them again, except there are a few day's its starting like nothing happened and work perfectly . And most times, it doesn't. Any ideas 💡 🤔
Will be blessed
Thank you in advance
Joseph

Hey Joseph! From what you’re describing with your 2003 Ford F-350 6.0, it sounds like you’re dealing with a fuel delivery or sensor issue rather than anything to do with the gear shift. Since the truck will fire up with starting fluid and then run fine, that usually points to a lack of fuel at startup — common culprits on these trucks include a weak high-pressure oil system (which the injectors need to fire), a failing ICP sensor (Injection Control Pressure), or issues with the FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module). A clogged fuel filter or weak lift pump can also cause hard-starting problems. The fact that it sometimes starts like nothing’s wrong suggests an intermittent electrical or pressure-related fault. I’d suggest checking for codes, monitoring your ICP and IPR readings during cranking, and making sure your fuel pressure is within spec. That will help narrow it down before throwing parts at it.
