On a 2004 Honda Civic LX Coupe, the cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. The good news is it's one of the easier ones to access, no tools required! Here's how to get to it:
- Open the glove box and empty it out.
- Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward to release the stopper tabs on each side, then let the door hang down fully.
- You'll see a rectangular filter housing cover. Slide or pop it open.
- Slide the old filter out, note the direction of the airflow arrow, and slide the new one in the same way.
- Snap the cover back, push the glove box back up into position, and you're done.
