A belt that keeps shredding is never the belt's fault: something is destroying it.
On your 2004 Pathfinder 3.5L, start by removing the belt and spinning every pulley by hand. Feel for any roughness, wobble, or grinding. The most common culprits are a worn idler pulley, tensioner pulley, or a seized A/C compressor. The A/C compressor seizing is actually a well-known issue on the 3.5L specifically and is the #1 cause of repeated belt shredding on this engine.
Also do a quick pulley alignment check: even a slightly misaligned pulley will chew through belts fast. A straightedge laid across the pulleys will reveal any that are sitting out of plane. Fix the bad pulley first, and your belt problem goes away with it.
