Answer Question
overheating issues for 2008 ford escape
Hi, I have a 2008 Ford Escape. All of a sudden, one night it overheated. No light came on but the air in the airconditioner started blowing less cold. So we checked it and it needs water. The next day I took it to Valvoline and had the air conditioning replaced and all was well for about 1 week.
The car also started to mis-fire at a lighter throttle when warming up but went away once warm. I came home last night and was sitting in the drive way finishing a conversation ( 3 min max) and the car overheated. Had to put more water in. No indication there was a problem that I could tell but someone said the fans started sounding loud like it was overheating. Sure enough it had overheated again.
I cannot seem to locate any leaking. When I took it to the Valvoline shop the week before they also couldnt find any leak.
What do you think could this issue be? We are already down to one car and really need ol betsy to keep going right now. Any information would be so helpful . Mileage is around 188k
