Answer Question
2015 Chrysler 200- can loose connections cause ESIM to show as faulty?
Check engine light came on. Then check gas cap notice appeared a few days later. Checked gas cap and made sure it was securely tightened. Lights didn't go off. Took car to Chrysler dealer. They said it was a faulty ESIM and to verify that they had another module there (ordered for someone else) that they put in and they said the lights went off (they want over $800 to replace ESIM). Since they would have to order the part for me I told them to just hold off on ordering it due the expense. When I got in my car (yesterday) there were no lights lit on the dash (no check engine, no check gas cap). This morning - still no lights. Is it possible that there was some sort of loose connection or something that was taken care of when they put my ESIM back? Or is there some other reason why the lights wouldn't come back on if the problem still exists?
