Have a 2000 Lincoln Navigator several lights start flashing on dash display when put into gear.
The lights on dash display start flashing once the vehicle has been driven for awhile and is started again.Where it shows the mileage , it then flashes "8888888888 "instead of showing the mileage.
They do not start to flash when the engine is cold and has not been driven for a while.
At times they do not flash at all and everything indicates normal.
When they do flash the fuel gauge drops to an empty indication and a red light is on showing Brake.
Had the vehicle at a Repair shop and was told the CLUSTER was defective. They mailed it to a company that rebuilds , repairs the Cluster.That company returned the CLUSTER to the repair shop and stated that there was nothing wrong with the Cluster. The Brakes work well.
What could cause this problem???
