Does a 1979 Cadillac DeVille need 12 inch ground cable from starter to frame?
Starter was replaced and mechanic handed me a 12 inch ground cable he said was attached from starter to frame but wasn't really necessary.
Ever since this happened, unless car is started and run every day, the battery discharges! Does it really need that ground cable reattached?
