Answer Question
Toyota front left dust shield rotted off best way to fix if needed? 3 mounting screws are frozen? Best way to fix
This 2002 Toyota Corolla see little use. Wife drives it to work and back. I am replacing the pads, rotors and etc. I found the left front dust shield hanging, rotted off. Held by three either torx head screws or Allen type. Metric?? Question is do I need to remove the hub or axel to replace it and is it really needed at all? The caliper hangs open in the front so I wonder if it's worth the bother at all. Steel wheels don't mind the dust but road slobber may cause issues down the road so to speak. I am afraid I may have to drill and tap the screws if I even get a grip on them to remove them. Your thoughts?? Thanks
