Why would an OBD reader see trouble codes that OBD scanner does not see?
On my 2008 Ford Ranger OBD reader-only gets codes P1107, U2500, P0007, U2802, and C0700. Mechanic's OBD scanner gets no trouble codes. Then, after replacing ecm with used one, the codes (on the reader) cleared after two weeks but codes returned after about six weeks. Still no codes read by scanner. Is there an explanation other than the OBD reader being faulty?
