How to tell your PCM was actually flashed by mechanic?
2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
I was having various codes display with my check engine light.
(P0456 very small emissions leak & B10EA blower motor high voltage)
I found a recall for the PCM to be flashed if I was experiencing these codes with specific symptoms. The Advisor seemed to be dismissive of me because I was not spending money and then suggested buying an extended warranty "if this didn't work". I waited for 2.5 hours for the PCM to be flashed (knowing it should take a few minutes) and he saw me in the lobby and said he forgot about me, then didn't return for another 30 minutes. I'm worried he didn't actually flash the system & just cleared the light hoping I would come back and sign the extended warranty and go about his business "finding what's wrong".
Is there a way I can tell in my vehicle if the PCM was actually flashed?
