Answer Question
2008 Honda Accord EX Sedan 2.4L Automatic no crank, no start, not reading in gear???
so I swapped out the transmission about a week ago due to failing tranny prior. well right before i parked it to change transmission i went out one morning and turned key and nothing happened! the interior lights and dash lights would cut off when i turned it to start but that was it. they didnt dim neither did the headlights and there was no sound not even a click. so i went ahead and done the swap and still same problem. i ran obd test nothing no codes at all. so then i started checking the main things that would stop it from starting. Throttle position reading over 5%, brake pedal safety switch, and the neutral safety switch. everything checked out fine, seen green key flash on dash when i turned ignition to on so i thought maybe chipped key had lost signal or immobilizer system went out. so i ordered whole ignition switch assembly with new key and immobilizer. checked obd again anf throttle body showing 7.5% i also checked every fuse and relay and everything seems fine. i bought new battery as well and put in. after i got throttle body cleaned out and new ignition switch in everything came on but its still not showing its in gear. ive done everything i kniw to do and have seen or read about online. if anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it. im going to adjust neutral safety switch tomorrow and recheck throttle body open precent and go fro there but there is no reason why this car shoukdnt start. ive got to be missing something somewhere or its something simple i just cant figure out.......
