engine fails to start up sometimes, 2017 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross after few hours starts up normally
Car was brought brand new, first time happened after running for over 2 years,
1.Road assist jump-start solved the problem. mechanics couldn't find any faults nothing showing in the computer. Replaced the battery.
2.Happened again while stopped at the airport for a pickup jump start again started the engine.
3.Third time happened RACV mechanic could,t get it started. Had to tow it to mechanic. next morning Mechanic said no fault in the car it started normally. Could,t detect any fault.
4.Happened again and after waiting for nearly one hour it started normally.
5.Happened again let the engine rest for nearly one hour and tried but nothing happened. Road side assist could not get it started Had to leave the vehicle parked at the road side and leave as all the near by mechanics closed. Next day car started normally so drove it back.
6.Yesterday evening drove it home and stopped in the garage wanted to go for dinner out it did not start, took a uber and once I came back home started normally
The Mechanic think it may be the fuel pump and wants to replace it but he is not 100% sure just a guess work
Has some one experienced this problem before
