2019 Ford Transit 250/38k miles. Driving through the mountains, got 3 brake vacuum booster fault messages.
Hi,
I have a 2019 Ford Transit 250 with only 38000 miles. Driving through the mountains at near freezing temperatures, I got 3 messages indicating a brake vacuum booster fault. Did not set the check engine light. On two occasions, the brakes seemed normal. One time the brake pedal felt hard,
almost "crunchy". After pressing through the crunch, the message went away and the pedal felt normal again.
The brake reservoir is full and does not seem to be losing any fluid. The vacuum booster seems to hold vacuum fine with the engine off. The vacuum hoses look like new with no apparent cracks or defects.
Any ideas?
