Answer Question
Kia Sedona 2014 showing code P200A. What are the steps to diagnose
Hello, looking for advice to repair. The vehicle has the check engine light on and shows code P200A.
I have done the following besides watching many related videos on Youtube.
1) Visual Inspection. All the hoses look OK. Didn't notice any cracks or broken sections.
2) Tested the resistance (ohms) of the 2 variable intake solenoid (VIS). Reading was 29 ohms
3) Noticed the VCM had a broken clip and replaced the part with a new one. Tested and looked when it opens and close at different RPMs.
After that cleared the code and tested. The driving felt better and the check engine and code didn't show for few days, but both came back. However the driving still feels OK No power lose, etc. I noticed the eco light shows at specific speeds and RPMs. I guess may be close to find the trouble part.
I'll appreciate any advice to find the issue. Should I just vacum test the hoses going to the VIS, replace the MAP sensor, etc? What else?
Thanks,
Carlos
