I have a 2008 F150 with a 4.2L engine and 188,000 miles. I get a lifter tick on startup, but not all the time.
I flushed the engine and added 1quart of Rislone engine treatment and 5 quarts of synthetic oil and a new oil filter. The engine has a lifter tick on the right side on startup. But sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it'll take 15 seconds to quiet, but sometimes it'll take 5 minutes. Any ideas on what I should do next to possibly solve the problem?
