2002 Honda Accord V6 losing coolant. No leaks present. Check engine light; code P0302.All six spark plugs replaced. Coils moved around and problem didn't follow. Compression check ok. Block tester reveals no exhaust leak to radiator. Determined thermostat is doing it's job as heat is transferred equally through in and out hose. Noticed radiator is burping air. Took car to three different techs and had three different suggestions. One said to replace water pump, thermostat, belts and flush coolant. Another suggested to check timing and do a major tune up (replacing distributor, plugs, coils, spark plug wires, etc.) and the third suggested I clean/replace MAF, EGR temp sensor, etc. Accord has 230,000 miles. Oil change done, A/C compressor replaced week before check engine light on and heat rising on temp gauge (not rising to the red!). Pulled over to top coolant.
I do not know where to start. Either way, it will be a costly repair! What say you, auto experts?
