Hi. I have an oil burning Kia Optima,2018. I have tried various piston ring soaks. My questions are a two parter .
Do I have to tear engine down to re.place piston rings versus a different kind of piston soak? My second Question is since there was a class action lawsuit settled by kia and they have to replace engine for 2010-2015 kias ,so why were they allowed to keep selling the theta 2 engine in newer models? These engines start burning oil at about 110,000 miles. they are junk. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this subject.
