Step-by-Step Installation

Chapter 1:

Remove the shock absorber

Brush off the bolts of the rear shock and spray the bolts with penetrating oil.

Chapter 1:

Using a ratchet and 21mm socket, unscrew the shock’s lower retaining bolt. Block the rotation of the holding nut with a 21mm wrench. Then remove the bolt.

Using a ratchet and a 21 mm socket, unscrew the upper fastening bolt of the shock.

Hold the shock absorber with one hand and finish unscrewing the retaining bolt with the other.

You can now take extract the shock.

Clean

Using a wire brush, brush off the locations of the shock absorber to make it easier to install.

Prepare the new shock absorber

Take your new shock.

Before installing the new shocks, it is necessary to prime them by pressing the shock vertically, so that the gas and hydraulic fluid are separated.

Install the new shock

Insert the shock starting from the top part.

Screw the bolt back in roughly by hand.

Insert the shock into its lower slot. Then, install the lower retaining bolt.

Once in place, screw the retaining nut back on. Finish tightening the lower nut using a torque wrench.
