Set up
Turn your engine off and set the parking brake.
Open the door.
Remove the door trim
Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the plastic cover inside the door handle.
Then, using a multi-bit screwdriver and an 8mm bit, unscrew the screw holding the inner door panel.
Then, with a 6mm socket, unscrew the 2 screws located at the bottom of the inner door panel.
Using a fork, remove the inner lining of the door opener.
Then unscrew the last screw holding the door panel with an 8mm socket.
You can now remove the door panel by lifting it off the top track.
Place it on a raised element so as not to pull on the various cables.
Remove the side view mirror
Using a ratchet and a 11mm socket, unscrew the 3 holding screws on the side view mirror.
You can now pull it out slightly, so that you can disconnect the electrical connection by pushing on the holding pin.
Take off the side view mirror.
Install the new side view mirror
Take the new side view mirror.
Remove the rubber protectors.
Plug the electrical connector back in.
Insert the side view mirror into its housing.
Then screw the 3 nuts back in, by hand at first.
Finish off tightening with a ratchet.
Before reinstalling the door panel, locate the various retaining hooks that must fit into the door structure.
Put the door trim back
Now you can put the door panel back on, being careful to make sure that the entire trim is resting against the door as you put it on.
Don’t forget to pass the door lock latch through the trim.
Check that the trim has been put back correctly.
Once the panel is in place, screw in the screw that is in line with the door’s opening system.
Then put the inner lining back in place.
Screw back the screw located in the handle, then replace the plastic cover.
Screw the 2 screws located at the bottom of the inner door panel back in place.
Operation complete.
