How to replace the tail light bulbs 2013 – 2018 Nissan Altima

To replace the tail light bulbs on your Altima It’s easy. You’ll need to access to the tail lights, replace the reverse light bulb, replace the brake light and other steps you’ll need to follow in the correct order. Step-by-Step Installation

Chapter 1:

Set up

Turn your engine off and set the parking brake.

Chapter 1:

Press the trunk release switch and open the trunk.

Chapter 2:

Access to the tail lights

To access the tail light, remove the trunk seal by the light.

Chapter 2:

To increase the lifespan of the bulbs, we would suggest never touching the glass with your fingers or cleaning them carefully with paper towels before putting them back.

Then shift the trunk carpet.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

To do this, push on the tab and pull on the connector.

Using an 8 mm wrench, unscrew the 2 nuts holding the tail light housing.

Remove the tail light housing, taking care to free the wiring harness by removing the seal from the car body.

Replace turn signal bulb

To remove the turn signal bulb socket from the taillight housing, turn it counterclockwise and pull it out.

To remove the bulb all you have to do is pull on it.

Take the new bulb.

Put the new light bulb in the socket.

Put the socket into the taillight housing and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

Replace the reverse light bulb

To remove the reverse light bulb socket from the taillight housing, turn it counterclockwise and pull it out.

Take the new bulb.

Put the new light bulb in the socket.

Change the parking light bulb

Repeat the same operation for the socket of the side marker light.

Insert the tail light harness into the hole provided and reposition the seal.
