Hi Jeffrey, I'm glad to assist you. Yes. It is pre-filled with oil. But manufacturers recommend that you drain the "shipping oil" and refill with "proper PAG oil" (amount) upon installation. The other purpose of the added oil is to protect the compressor during its stay on the dealer's shelves, retailers' stores, and in the course of transport. Once installed on your vehicle, that is when you will start to begin the a/c charging process (vacuuming and freon loading process). Get it done by a certified mechanic or your trusted local auto repair shop. It is guaranteed to fit the 2003 to 2008 Toyota Corolla 1.8L and the 2003 to 2008 Toyota Matrix 1.8L models.
