Hi Regina, I am pleased to assist you. The A/C evaporator on a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox is located inside the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) case, which is behind the dashboard, on the passenger side of the vehicle. It's mounted inside the HVAC box, usually behind the glove box and partially under the dash. To access it, the dash must be partially or fully removed, depending on how deep the unit is.
