"Reduce, re-use, re-cycle" product. We have used K&N filters on all our vehicles for many years. They perform as well or better than the standard type air filters that you throw away. The price is about 2/3rd's more than the standard filter, but you will never have to buy another.
The installation was not as easy as it has been on older vehicles. But that is not the fault of the filter, but the car (2012 Ford Focus).
