The check valve is generally located near the exhaust manifold. If you need the specific location, please contact your local dealership with your VIN so they can pull up a schematic of it.

It is best to have your vehicle diagnosed in a shop with a scan tool to be accurate in the cause of the problem. But, if you have a diagnostic code already given to you by your mechanic.
