Hi Ariana, I'm glad to assist you. This part is an engine oil pressure switch it is not in the transmission. You might be referring to an automatic transmission solenoid. Please have your mechanic run a diagnostic check for a trouble code to be generated. That would isolate the problem part. I hope this helps.
