Question: How to install?A Shopper / Jul 14, 2020
Hello! Typically you can get to them by just pulling the transmission oil pan, but sometimes you have to pull the valve body. The tricky part is knowing which solenoid is which! That information should be in a good service manual.

There are a cluster of 3. This is the first one the other 2 are a little different and don’t fit the same as this. This should help with smoother shifting by itself. I had to replace all 3.

The solenoid is a TCC and it worked perfectly with my 2000 Ford Ranger RWD automatic transmission with 181,000 miles. Smooth-shifting into second gear.

Question: What kind of problem show up if I have a bad one?A Shopper / Aug 26, 2020
Hi, If you're experiencing transmission solenoid troubles, it will become evident in one of four ways: -Your transmission gets stuck in neutral. -You can't downshift, and your engine continues to rev even when applying the brakes. -Delayed gear shifting. -Shifting gears become rough and choppy ** In no particular order. We highly recommend to have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to pinpoint what part needs replacement.

Question: Is it a pump siloined?C L. / Oct 08, 2020
Hi Clinton, This part is a transmission solenoid (automatic) is an electro-hydraulic valve that controls fluid flow into and throughout an automatic transmission. They operate via a current supplied by the transmission computer. We highly recommend having the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to determine what pump solenoid needs replacement.

This one when engaged changes the direction of the flow of transmission fluid, i had no reverse changing this resolved my problem. And was very easy to change , just drop the pan its right there, slide the clip to the side one screw pull down put new one in screw back in slide clip back over put pan on and fill with fluid , done. Hope this helps .

There are 3 solenoids. You need a proper evaluation to know which one. I replaced the first 2 and did not fix my problem so back to dropping the pan again to replace the third.
