Question: I have a 1998 4x4 lariat 4x4 with a 5.4 l engine that lost all gears could this possibly be my problem I've replaced my control solenoid my shift solenoid my speed sensor and a newer 4x4 actuator on the trannsfercase?Ghostman / Apr 07, 2024

Hi Donna, I'm glad to assist you. It could be one of the causes of the reverse function of your shifter not working, but not necessarily the sole cause. The other causes are dirty or low transmission fluid, a faulty transmission valve body, a bad transmission control module, or transmission linkage issues.
