It is located under the passenger side dash. There were 2 screws on the panel under the glove box to remove. It also helps to flip the globe box door down after you take the lower panel off. This will help you unclip the wires.

Question: I have to unplug the blower motor fuse to stop the blower and I just changed the ignition coils and spark plugs what is the cause of this and how can I fix it?A Shopper / Jan 10, 2021
Hi, The blower motor resistor is an electrical component that is a part of the vehicle's heating and air conditioning system. It is responsible for controlling the blower motor’s fan speed. When fan speed is changed via the knob on the instrument cluster, the blower motor resistor changes setting, which changes the speed of the blower motor. As the fan speed is one of the most frequently adjusted settings of the air conditioning system, the blower motor resistor is put under constant stress, which can cause it to eventually fail. A failed blower motor resistor can cause issues with the operation of the entire heating and air conditioning system. Usually a bad or failing blower motor resistor will produce a few symptoms that can alert the driver of a potential issue. 1. Blower motor stuck on one speed 2. Blower motor does not work on certain settings 3. No air from the vehicle’s vents You can also consult with your trusted local auto repair shop or dealership for this problem if you need to.

There are 2 possible scenarios. The first could be the blower motor resistor has malfunctioned and needs to be replaced. the second could the switch in the dash has failed. I would start with the resistor as they are usually easier to replace.

Question: Can I use this piece in a 2002 trailblazer Lt with automatic Ac control?Juan M S. / Sep 06, 2021
Hi Juan, I'm glad to assist you. No, this is not compatible. Sorry, we do not carry the blower motor resistor for with automatic temperature control. Still, you might be needing other parts such as a blower motor. We have one on promo sale price right now ($49.99 only). Click the link below to check and order it. I hope this helps. Hi Scott, thank you for reaching out! This is most likely the cause, but we can only speculate. Kindly have the vehicle physically inspected to be sure. Have a good one!
