Question: where is the blower motor resistor for a 2005honda crv locate under the hood ?artie s. / Sep 01, 2021
Hi Artie, I'm pleased to assist you. This part is guaranteed to fit the 2005 Honda CR-V EX, LX, SE 4 Cyl 2.4L, Japan built. This part is located on the passenger side under the dashboard (glove box). It is mounted to the blower housing near the blower motor. Disconnect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor to replace the part. Click on the link below to order at 38% off the regular price while supplies last. I hope this is helpful. Enjoy shopping at Carparts.com!

Please first know that it isn't under the hood, but inside the car under the dashboard glove compartment on the passenger side. You can access it in two ways which I list in order of my own preference. 1) simply get on the floor under the glove box and look at the heater motor and its wires that connect it to the relay and remove and replace any component you must. 2) remove the glove box and access it from there. Having done it both ways, I find it simpler and faster to leave the glove box alone and do it from underneath. Happy and honored for the chance to help you along with the others as I've received MUCH help through these forums and good old YouTube. God bless you with great success!

Answered by Scott S. / Wed, Sep 01It is located directly behind the glove box. You should be able to push in the tabs on the side of the glove box to drop it down and gain access to the resistor. Unplug, remove the two screws and the resistor comes out. Easy replacement.

Answered by Paul R. / Wed, Sep 01It’s not under the hood. It’s under the glove box. The is a black cover under the glove box that pops off. Up underneath there, a bit left of center, is the resistor. Awkward to get at but doable.

Answered by Michael C. / Wed, Sep 01I don't believe it is under the hood. The blower motor resistor needs to be cooled, so it is usually in the body of the blower motor itself.

Answered by Stuart B. / Wed, Sep 01No. It’s inside the car. You have to remove the glove compartment to access it. It’s behind the glove compartment.
