I was fully expecting this not to work out especially because the bumper comes folded but I used my sister's heat gun(you can also use a hair dryer) and it formed almost perfect, everything lined up proper. There was a peirce of the bottom lip the was broken off because of the bend thou

Hi,
Yes, quite similar. This is shipped folded. Folding bumper is a common practice in the industry. We do this to reduce shipping cost and pass those savings to our customers. You will also receive it faster as it does not have to be shipped via freight. These bumper covers are made of shape memory plastic and will eventually go back to it's original shape after you put it under the sun for at least 2 hours. If there is no sun, you can apply heat on the affected area with a heat gun (just make sure not to over heat and melt the material).
