Question: Can I use these bumpers without painting them at all-just installing them as delivered?LEVI YITZHAQ / May 13, 2021
Hi Levi, I'm glad to help you out. Yes, you can. There is no legal requirement to paint the bumper. Although, small scratches and dents will stand out more than when painted. I hope this helps. Hello Levi-- I just bought these last month and installed them on my Highlander. They have a nice matte finish but mine came with a scratch on one of them and a few scuffs on the other. I doubt you would be able to hide the sanded areas if you tried to sand out any scratches or scuffs. They would pop out as lighter than the rest. I bought the black spray-on truck liner spraypaint and put on three coats. It blended in nicely with the black bumpers. One coat, however, would probably do as well. The spray-on liner was a lot easier to apply that normal paint and then shellac--the truck liner goes on already a little bumpy, almost like fine grit sandpaper and so hides imperfections but gives more protection that just leaving as is.. Hope that helps.

Question: Are these bumpers shipped as they are in long containers or folded up in a smaller package?Larry G. / Apr 10, 2023
Hi Larry, thank you for reaching out. Most unpainted aftermarket bumper covers come folded to assume a more compact form. Folding our bumper covers allows us to help our customers enjoy savings on shipping costs. Since they're made of shape-memory plastic, they will unfold into their proper shape once they are warmed up properly. Here's a link on How to Unfold & Prep Your Bumper Cover for Installation: https://www.carparts.com/blog/how-to-unfold-your-bumper-cover/ Click this link to order the part at a discounted price today while supplies last: https://www.carparts.com/bumper-cover/replacement/set-t010359p-2?can=CPAP3648_CSQA_20230410 I hope this helps. Question: What is the recommended prep before painting?Ian D. / Jul 22, 2022
Hello! I would contact your local bodyshop or paint supplier for whatever prep supplies they recommend with the paint you plan to buy, but it should be paint ready after a light scuff and cleaning.

Question: What tools and parts do I need to install these covers? Do these covers attach firmly onto the bumpers that they don't detach accidentally or when going through the carwash?Matthew K. / Oct 23, 2021
Hi Matthew, I'm glad to assist you. The basic tools you will need to install the parts are; philips screw-driver, an adjustable open-wrench, and a small rubber mallet. This item does not come with mounting hardware (screws, bolts, clips..etc). We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store or the dealership. Grab our bundle kit sale price offer and click the link below to order today. I hope this helps. Happy shopping. https://www.carparts.com/bumper-cover/replacement/set-t010359p-2?can=CPJE1043
