Happy with the product, but <a href="http://CarParts.com" target="_blank">CarParts.com</a> says experts standing by to assist you. I did NOT find that part of the transaction satisfactory. I reached out and asked if hardware was included and if was guaranteed to fit my specific year, make and model. The response I got was you'll need to go to your local hardware store for the hardware and you may have to drill some additional holes - which was not correct.

Question: I changed out the factory installed 1 1/2" hitch on my just purchased 2021 Subaru Crosstrek for a new etrailer class three hitch made specifically for this car. The original factory or dealer install of the 1 1/4" hitch put the frame of that hitch in place of the rear bumper beam whereas the new class 3 hitch sits below the rear bumper. The instructions say that a bumper beam must be reinstalled (which I do not have). Does this come with all the hardware to install it and does it use the original bolt holes from the original bumper bean or do holes have to be drilled?Scott S. / Oct 09, 2023
