Hi Sandra, I'm glad to assist you. This retainer should be attached to the main bumper cover, not the valance. The OEM part number is 84926765, an upper support. The valance should be attached to the lower bumper cover with part number RC01030074P. Please confirm with your mechanic and get back to us once ready to order the correct part.
