Camber bolt kit for my daughter's volvo xc70. Straightened the front end right out.

Answered by Arnel E. / Wed, Sep 22This is one of a pair of bolts that offer a wider range of adjustment, sometimes
necessary for seasoned front ends, to allow you to adjust your front assembly to within specs, or make your vehicle more driveable. These are not associated with your rear wheels. Often a shop will adjust to the limit of factory bolts and send you down the road. These camber bolts give you a wider range of adjustment. You may or may not need this. If the guy who aligns your front end said to get a camber kit...here you go!

The current rear camber is out of spec after alignment by -1.23 (rear left) & -1.31 (rear right) against a spec of -1.08 to -0.08. So I need verification these will work on my vehicle as indicated above before buying - mechanic said only used were available...

Answered by Arnel E. / Fri, Oct 01Shouldn't need camber bolts. Check your watts link. Basically a central pivot above the differential. One side has long end rod that hooks to bottom I believe and short end rod that hooks to top. It is a link that usually needs replaced at least 100,000 miles.
