Question: P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency below treshold (Bank 1) Do I need both converters or just the one for the firewall side?Robert P. / Oct 29, 2021
Hi Robert, I'm pleased to assist you. Yes. P0420 means that the catalytic converter is underperforming on Bank 1. You just need Bank 1, and it is located nearest to the 1st cylinder depending on the engine firing order of the vehicle.
