I'm definitely giving this product 5 stars. I've been dealing with this engine light regarding the catalytic converter for about 2 years. Every mechanic or auto shop were giving me estimates in the thousands. I took it upon myself to do the research on how it's done & it sure paid off. I purchased this product from Car Parts, the shipping was quick & the product was compatible just as they said. Question: is this P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 part?Elaine T. / Mar 03, 2021
Hi Elaine, A P0420 code indicates a problem with the catalytic converter. One oxygen sensor is positioned in front (upstream) of the catalytic converter and the other O2 sensor is positioned at the rear (downstream). Please check the Vehicle Emission Control Information sticker usually found underneath the hood of the car to make sure the catalytic converter matches the car's Emission label specifications.

Hi James, This part fits the 2005 Nissan Altima S and SL 4 Cyl 2.5LL that has Federal type emission. For this part, the location or State information is not enough. The replacement part has to match the emission specification of the vehicle. Please check the Vehicle Emission Control Information sticker usually found underneath the hood, to make sure the catalytic converter matches the Emission label specifications.
