Hi Chris, This catalytic converter does not require welding. This type uses clamps, bolts, gaskets, and sleeves. But, before that, please check the vehicle emission label usually found underneath the hood of the car to make sure the catalytic converter matches the car's Emission label specifications. If you have the tools and expertise, you can tackle the job. This type of catalytic converter is bolted into place. There is a good chance that the hardware is rusted, making the repair more difficult. And please make sure there are no exhaust leaks.
