I read the reviews & took a chance on seeing if I could also improve horsepower and save gas in the process. In actuality, I gained both! I experienced a "feeling" of additional horsepower (sorry, no way for me to prove this), and also experienced a 7.7% jump in miles per gallon (an additional 2.12 miles per gallon). I get almost 30 mpg on my 1990 Mazda Miata (29.6). Previously, it was 27.5 mpg. This item will pay for itself over time. I estimate that I will save roughly 32 cents per gallon based upon $4.25 a gallon with this filter with the additional mileage. After approximately 312.5 gallons or roughly 9400 miles driven, this item will have paid for itself (hey, every small bit counts...and the higher the price per gallon, the more I'll be saving). I am looking into using this type of filter with my other vehicles.
