As per checking, this is a guaranteed fit for your given vehicle application. This part is a direct fit bolt on, plug and play part specific for your vehicle. You do not need modification to make it fit. Please refer to a trusted vehicle specific repair manual or consult with your local auto repair shop for the install procedure.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Fri, Feb 26I completed the fan delete mod on a 99 E46, removing the clutch fan and the front electric and installing the standard radiator mount rear side fan. Plugged in the front fan socket to the new fan and works great. Look up fan delete mod for your 05 to be sure.
