Hesitant to buy becasue it was the best priced one online i saw, but saw a carparts review say it was good, So gave it a shot. Had a 1995 12 valve cumminsthat had dropped a valve and needed a new head and 2 new piston. Some people said I should ge the new head decked to make sure it's straight just because about how cheap it was. But didn't want to have to wait and spend extra money. Put the new head on with how it came in the box and it runs great. Great price good quality. Will not hesitate anymore to buy from <a href="http://carparts.com" target="_blank">carparts.com</a> and fast shipping too!

Hi Pat, I'm pleased to assist you. No, this head does not have cast valve seats. The image shows a cylinder head with pressed-in valve seats. Cast valve seats are poured into the cylinder head during the casting process, while pressed-in valve seats are inserted into the cylinder head after it has been cast. Pressed-in valve seats are more common than cast valve seats in replacement cylinder heads. They are less expensive to manufacture and they can be replaced more easily if they become damaged.
