The part fit but it did communicate with the rest of the car correctly. I ended up having to swap the motor out of this part into the original parts housing to get it to work with the switch correctly.

Note, my key fob hasn't worked for years, so the key is used manually. the new door actuator locks, unlocks and opens the door like new.Front, Driver Side Door Lock Actuator

Question: I have a 2003 lexus rx 300, the front passenger door lock does not operate with the key fob or the driver side locking mechanism, I don't know which part to replace?Mike J. / Oct 20, 2022
Hi Mike,
Most probably an actuator problem but it would be best to have the vehicle checked out to determine what is faulty. We have no insight to diagnose it.

This was exactly the right part for my 99 Rx 300 and I don’t believe it changed with later models. It’s a bit fiddly to fit but if you take off the door handle and lock from the outside it really makes it easy to access the two colored plastic clips that you need to unhook to extract the broken unit. Once done it’s sweet to have the mechanism again.
