Question: The new latch will not lock and unlock with key. The original did. Nothing but the latch was changed. I can see the rod moving up and down with the key but there is to much play in the latch?Norman D. / May 14, 2023
Hi Norman, I'm glad to assist you. I see you have received the part already. The steel rod should be connected securely to the door handle and door lock cylinder. If it would not lock still. It could be defective. You can have it replaced or return it for a refund. Please call our hotline, 1-866-529-0412, and ask to be transferred to our returns department. We have a 90-day return policy.
