After messing with it, it was a lot easier to line up once I screwed in the front of the cover closest to the headlights and then filled in the blanks on the rest of the screw holes.

I purchased this for my 2013 335i M sport sedan. It fit well, however the access hole for the oil drain plug was not exactly in the right location and had to be modified. Also, there is no hardware included with it, but you may already have that.
