I purchase this item as a replacement tailpipe hanger. In hindsight and in removing the original, I believe I could have just been able to replace the rubber bushing connecting the two metal tailpipe hanger parts, assuming I could find one of course. Anyway, this part did the job but be prepared to do a bit of modification, even though it was advertised as the hanger for my model of vehicle. I had to twist the flat part of the hanger (with the bolt holes) in order to get it to lay flat against the frame, where the bolt hole is. After that it all worked fine.
